Lansing parks and Recreation provides over 550 recreation programs and events for citizens beginning at age 6 months up through senior citizen and serves over 20,000 people annually. Sign up online at www.lansingmi.gov/parks for our classes and activities.
Lansing Parks and Recreation operates recreation programs through: four Community Centers (Gier, Foster, Letts, Southside), Special Recreation Services (Hunter and Moores Swimming Pools, Kids Camp and Therapeutic Recreation) and Lifetime Sports. We also operate the Turner-Dodge House (historic home). Groesbeck Golf Course, and support operations at the Fenner Nature Center and Sycamore Driving Range.
Lansing Parks and Recreation also maintains 115 parks in the city, including Frances and Cooley Gardens.
